History of Paite-Balincaguing Elementary School

In 1943, the school was built under the leadership and reigning Kapitan del Barrio of Brgy. Paite, San Narciso, Zambales, Brgy. Capt. Apolinario Falsario and his councilmen. Through the generosity and concern of  the people, the lot was then donated to the school. The school has been under the supervision of San Narciso District not until July 23, 2010, when the name of the school, Paite Elementary School was changed to Paite-Balincaguing Elementary School, under the supervision and administration of San Felipe District.

The school was situated in the municipality of San Felipe, Province of Zambales. It was located in lot No. 3341, Cad-686-D, Case 9, San Felipe Cadastre. The school site has an area of 6, 346.95 sq. Meters. It is 7 km. away from the town proper.

Before, the building was built through the use of light materials like bamboo, cogon and boho. The source of water was an open well. Until such time that the BOD type three classroom building was constructed, security fence was also created under the leadership of the School Head, Mrs. Josephine F. Arquero. Congressman Antonio M. Diaz, prioritized school buildings as his projects in this barangay. 12 classroom, Diaz type building was constructed and was used by the elementary and the secondary. The School Head, Mrs. Neora Aligan put up toilets to each classroom. Mrs. Josephine Arquero also improved the school through her networking skills. At present, the thirteen classrooms House of Representative Building (Diaz type building), only four (4) classrooms are being occupied by the elementary: the office of the Principal, Computer Laboratory, Storage Room and the Kindergarten Room. The old dilapidated toilet was renovated in 2013 and up to now being used as the Mini-Library of the school.

The Mini-Library was a project of the SAEMAUL GLOBALIZATION FOUNDATION through the efforts of the parents, the teachers and the School Head, Mr. Cresencio Abad, Jr.

The Koreans and the barangay council of Balincaguing, ABC President Napoleon Domingo was then our active partners in education that time. The spirit of volunteerism inspired the community to help the school.

Because of the increasing number of pupils in 2014, the school was in dire need of classroom buildings to cater the pupils. Through the iniative of the teachers and the School Head, Ms. Myer C. Ildefonso, the then repaired 3 classroom, BOD-type building was again recuperated on January 2014. The rusted roofing was replaced to steel trusses, the partitions were removed and now being used as the school Social Hall.

In May 2014, three (3) classroom, DPWH type-Building 1 was constructed through the school’s resolution requesting a classroom building to our Congresswoman Cheryl Deloso-Montalla. The building is now being occupied by the grades IV to VI pupils.

Another three (3) classroom, DPWH-type Building 2 was again constructed in May 2015 and now being occupied by the grades I to III pupils. Improvements are on its way. The school covered pathway is a project of the GPTA and the faculty and staff of Paite-Balincaguing ES. The renovation of the school canteen and classroom toilets in grades IV-VI will soon start.
